Free full-feature e-comic book reader & manager

ComicRack is a free comic ebook reader supports CBZ, ZIP, CBR, RAR, TAR and PDF formats. It is an all in one solution to read your e-comics and manage your library.  It can also convert ebooks to other ebook formats. e-comic book format are typically images files that are compressed into archives and displayed in a reader according to the naming sequence of the individual images (more info on e-comic book formats here). Comic readers are usually geared towards displaying pages/images full screen, rotating and scrolling them for the best reading experience.

 Here is a list of useful features of  this program:

  • Highly Customizable User interface:  a multi tab interface, explorer-style file browser that you can quickly switch between eComics. It can be placed on the left, right, or bottom of the screen. The type of view within the browser can be customized as well as Windows'  folder views. You can even save your workspace once you arrive at a ideal customized layout/view. you can also create and save multiple workspaces.
  • Display functions:  includes multiple display modes (rotate, 2-page views, etc), scroll mode, information overlays, automatic background matching, color adjustment,  magnifier tool, etc. 
  • Ebook conversion: convert any supported format to PDF, TAR, ZIP formats or a JPEG folder.  if  you want CBR just compress the folder of Jpegs into a RAR archive and change the extension to CBR.
  • Metadata: ComicRack is a powerful metadata manager, allowing you to really get in all the information that you ever care to specify about your collection (right click on any page then select info to get there). you can search your collection' s metadata and filter them by  various properties (genre, writer, series, etc.).
  • Search function:   It will allows you to search your entire library using metadata.
  • Ratings: you can give your ebook a 1-5 star rating as a part of its metadata, just a single right click .
  • View multiple files: each ebook having its own tab on the main display.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: these can be set in the preferences section.
  • Portability: All settings and the library access can be run from a USB stick.
